We designed the entire mobile experience for a micro-investment app inspired by platforms like Acorns, empowering users to invest their spare change into real stocks tied to their purchases.
What we did:
- User Onboarding: Designed a simple and engaging sign-up flow with account type selection (Invest, Retirement/Later).
- Round-Up Investing: Created an intuitive experience for linking cards and visualizing automatic round-ups from everyday purchases.
- Smart Portfolio Assignment: Designed logic and UI for investing round-up funds directly into the stock of the brand purchased (e.g. Nike, Amazon, McDonald’s).
- Portfolio Management: Built clean, informative screens showing investment performance, stock breakdowns, and expert-managed portfolio views.
- Automated Investing Flows: Designed seamless background investing mechanics with user transparency and optional customization.
- Withdrawals & Transfers: Created secure and simple flows for moving funds, withdrawing, or rolling over IRAs into Later accounts.
- Dashboard UX: Focused on clear, real-time insights into portfolio value, growth over time, and round-up history.
The result is a friendly, fintech-focused mobile app that makes investing easy, personalized, and habit-driven—especially for first-time or passive investors.
